London-based documentary film company Dogwoof will distribute Hanging by a Wire in UK cinemas this summer. From award-winning Pakistani filmmaker, Mohammed Ali Naqvi (Netflix’s Turning Point, BBC’s The Accused: Damned or Devoted?), who has spent more than 20 years telling stories from South Asia, and produced by Naqvi and Bilal Sami, the Sundance-selected documentary recounts the remarkable true story of the 2023 cable car rescue in Pakistan's remote Himalayan foothills that captured global attention and united an entire community in an extraordinary race against time. The gripping documentary premiered on opening day at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where it played to sold-out crowds and screened in competition for the Grand Jury Prize. Lacking the courage to ask her out, he makes what proved to be a deadly wish on the novelty toy One Wish Willow. The movie follows their relationship as he seeks to face the consequences of what he chose.

Review

The film does an excellent job at creating suspense. Whilst watching the movie you will find yourself attempting to predict what will happen, will there be a jump scare. In this movie we see Bear wanting Nikki to love him more than anyone in the world. Fortunately, and well unfortunately for him he gets his wish. Nikki begins to emulate those around them who she may fear Bear loves and ultimately goes on to hurt those who get in her way.

If you really want to know what this movie is, some may say it’s a film about unhealthy attachments, or extremely toxic relationships. These are both true to an extent. What this review wants to focus on is accountability. While the movie centres around you know obsession, the story at times puts the blame at well most of the characters at different points.

When we look at the character of Bear, you may argue the events that occurred are well because of him because they are. If we are playing Devil’s advocate, we say that he didn’t know his wish would come true. Maybe you’ll say he would not be able to predict that it would come through in that way. Theres no denying that every opportunity which occurred that would’ve allowed him to give Nikki her autonomy back he avoided. He became so desperate for her love he did not think about what it would cost Nikki to give it.

Overall, Obsession is an entertaining horror-thriller that will make you jump but at its core it’s a film that highlights the sadness of how it is to take away someone’s ability to make their own choices.

Moving away from the chaos of the party scene, this beautiful track showcases the soulful
yet playful chemistry between Ray and Rumi, offering a sweet glimpse into their evolving
love story. Hum Dono is poised to become the track for every modern-day yet old school
romance, capturing the excitement of two people falling in love.
Following their banger party anthem, the celebrated composer duo Vishal & Shekhar deliver
their next track brought to life by the mesmerizing voices of Shekhar, Vishal Dadlani and Shruti
Pathak. The soulful lyrics, which capture the film's romance, were crafted by lyricist Anvitaa
Dutt, while the graceful, on-screen chemistry is perfected through the choreography of master
dancer Remo D’Souza.

Dhurandhar (transl. Stalwart) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller film written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners Jio Studios and B62 Studios. It stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.^[2][3] The film is inspired by the real-life incidents, geopolitical conflicts, and covert operations of RAW, particularly Operation Lyari, a government-led crackdown on local gangs and crime syndicates in the Lyari area of Karachi, Pakistan.^[4]

Principal photography took place from July 2024 and October 2025, with filming taking place in Thailand, Mumbai, Punjab, and Ladakh. The soundtrack and film score were composed by Shashwat Sachdev. With a runtime of 214 minutes, it is one of the longest Indian films ever made.^[1]

KHAN TUMHARA is a riveting blend of high-octane action, heartfelt romance and raw emotion. At its core is Yusuf Khan, a complex hero entangled in the brutal pull of power, love and vengeance.

Khan Tumhara was shot using multiple cameras and techniques to capture the very essence of up-close action, with special attention paid to every stage of production. The action team led by

Nick Khan and Hussain Abdullah, known for their work on projects like Skyfall and Marvel

Eternals, was flown into Pakistan to film the action sequences. The preparation was grueling for

the lead actors. This dedication was exemplified by Maya's consistency, hardwork and dedication and Bilal’s unbreakable resilience, who pushed through multiple injuries to complete filming. The results of this commitment are visible on screen, as no body doubles were used for Bilal. Audiences will see him fighting and performing all of his own stunts in every action sequence. Each scene was then crafted meticulously and took approximately 70 days to shoot - a first for Pakistani cinema. This international team also trained the local crew for several months, not to emulate Hollywood, but to develop a unique cinematic language that was raw and unforgiving. Furthermore, the visual effects team, led by Haider at Softmatrix, worked endlessly to deliver world-class post-production. Every frame reflects meticulous craftsmanship; technical precision; and international production standards, resulting in visuals that are nothing short of breathtaking.

Director, Ehteshamuddin, says, "For years, Pakistani cinema has flirted with action but we have never truly let it bleed. KHAN TUMHARA is our answer to that hesitation. Yusuf Khan is not a hero you cheer for from a safe distance; he is the man who drags you into the dust with him where love is a wound; power is a poison; and vengeance is the only prayer left. This is our story, told with our sweat; our scars; our stubborn refusal to look away."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas isn’t just a film, it’s an outburst of love, ego, and self-destruction. The story follows Devdas who returns from London, still in love with his childhood sweetheart Paro, but his pride and society’s expectations tear them apart. As Paro is married off, Dev spirals into alcoholism and finds refuge in Chandramukhi, a courtesan who sees the pain behind his bravado. Yet, his heart remains chained to a love that’s long gone. Despite all the pain, he never stops loving her even as it destroys him. Dhanush’s raw, vulnerable performance struck a nerve, especially in the film’s final moments, where love remains unanswered, but never denied.
